It is the mission of Main Stay Therapeutic Riding Program to provide individualized equine related therapeutic activities to people with physical, developmental, social, and emotional disabilities, in McHenry and surrounding counties.

Main Stay Therapeutic Riding Program enriches the lives of our clients in a caring, safe, and challenging environment that will enable them to reach their highest potential.

Horses and stick horses of a Different Color is designed to raise both funds and awareness of the Main Stay Therapeutic Riding Program. Blank stick horses were bought by both children and adults then decorated and brought back to a central location to be judged for prizes and then sent off for display in downtown Woodstock store fronts.

Here are the Stick Horses judging results!

Main Stay would like to thank the three judges who volunteered a morning of their time to come and judge the stick horses. In general they were very pleased and impressed with the quality, imagination, whimsy and artistic talent. The judges were so impressed with the elementary school and middle school horses that they split them into two groups and added three cash prizes. In addition they decided to add 15 artistic merit awards (no cash).
